If Congress and the White House reach an impasse today some kids may have a hard time writing about what they did on their summer vacation. Here are two reasons why:
- If you sent in a paper tax return to the IRS with hopes of getting a refund to pay for a family vacation you may be out of luck. The IRS will not be processing those types of returns with a government shutdown.
- If it was a choice to visit the White House or Yellowstone National Park don’t bother gassing up the mini-van. Both vacation destinations would be closed.
So maybe just stay home and follow through with that New Years resolution to start your own business. But don’t bother applying for a small business loan. The Small Business Administration would be shut down too.
Enjoy the summer!
