Volatility as an asset class
Lions Gate’s is recently up 58c to $15.11 in the premarket after “The Hunger Games” opening weekend came in significantly higher than expected. Overall option implied volatility of 64 is above its 26-week average of 45.
United States Oil Fund (USO) is recently up 10c to $40.79 in the premarket as WTI oil trades up 0.30% to $107.19. Overall option implied volatility of 26 is below its 26-week average of 34.

CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) closed at 14.82, 10-day moving average is 15.40, 50-day moving average is 18.16.
