What I Did Today

Today I woke up in suburban Chicago and flew to New York for a few quick meetings. First, I went to the offices of The Street and huddled with Jill Malandrino to finalize the agenda for our joint class (along with Mark Sebastian) that we are hosting at the Options Institute on Saturday July 21. More info on the class can be found at this link –

Then Jill and I headed to the NASDAQ Marketsite and shot a video discussing the VXN. This was recently posted on The Street’s website and can be viewed through the link below –

After that I ran over to the New York Times building for a half day of intensive options education for E-Trade clients. Dan Gramza and Dave Whitmore both spoke on technical analysis and using E-Trade’s platform respectively. Then I was up to discuss some income producing strategies that focus on index options. It was a packed house with great questions and ideas on how to expand on the strategies we discussed.

So now – I’m in seat 7A somewhere between New York and Chicago. Soon I’ll be snug as a bug in a rug sleeping a little, then back to the Options Institute to work on more ways to educate traders on using options and other volatility related products!
