VIX methodology for Amazon (VXAZN) closed at 49.93; above its 50-day moving average of 35.11.

Boeing (BA) is higher by $0.90 to $74.55 in the premarket after the aerospace company reported Q4 revenue of $22.3B, compared to consensus $22.36B. Overall option implied volatility of 24 is near its 26-week average of 24.

Chesapeake Energy (CHK) is up $2 to $20.99 in the premarket on CEO Aubrey McClendon retiring on April 1. Overall option implied volatility of 34 is below its 26-week average of 45.

CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) closed at 13.31, above its 10-day moving average of 13.03, and its 50-day moving average of 15.49.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) is up 6c to 150.72 in the premarket into today’s FOMC meeting results and before the Q4 GDP results.
