The earnings calendar continues to be heavy. I came across 38 stocks with short dated options available reporting next week. Again, the table is based on the last 12 quarters of reporting data. The Max and Min represent the biggest one day stock price changes for the full trading day following earnings. Also the Abs Avg column is the absolute value of the average move from the stock over the past 12 quarters. Last Q is self-explanatory as this was the stock’s price reaction about 3 months ago when the company last reports. Finally, the names in italics is an indication that the company has not been public long enough for 12 quarters of data. There are several of those stocks this week including Facebook (FB – 51.95) which moved almost 30% last quarter and has continued to trend higher since.
