On what is supposed to be the coldest day of this winter in Chicago I’m booking a flight to South Florida for late next month. Bonita Springs is the home for the 2016 CBOE Risk Management Conference where I know the weather will be more agreeable than what I experienced on my walk from the train this morning in Chicago.
CBOE now hosts three versions of the Risk Management Conference annually, each with a geographic focus (US, Europe and Asia). The one in the United States is always a warm weather affair and moves from coast to coast. This year’s venue is the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Florida with the conference running from February 29 to March 2.
RMC is one of the best things about my job at CBOE. I now get to attend each version as part of our social media effort and blog on most of the sessions. Personally I spend a large portion of my time focusing on the option and volatility markets and consider myself up to speed of the dynamics of these markets. However, each session I get to attend has me coming away with new things to think about or something to work on with respect to these markets.
If you have interest in attending visit www.cboermc.com and keep in mind that early bird pricing ends this coming Friday (1/8). If you have questions feel free to shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Finally, if you attend feel free to say hi, I’ll be the guy on the front row tweeting and blogging all the conference highlights.
